Grading     There will be two in-term exams (each worth 20% toward your final grade), an exam testing dexterity in taking derivatives (15%), and a final exam (25%). An additional 20% will come from homework and attendance, as determined by Frank and detailed below. The scale is at right.
A: 90--100   C:  70--75
AB:   85--90  CD:  65--70
B:   80--85  D:  60--65
BC:   75--80  F:  < 60

Homework
Homework will be assigned weekly (see the daily schedule for the assignments) and due each Monday. Late homeworks are not accepted. The class will have a special grader, and due to a lack of funds, it will not be possible to grade all problems assigned. A few of the problems will be corrected and graded each week. Nevertheless, for your own benefit, you will be required to hand in all the assigned problems. Your grade on each homework will be calculated as follows: The two lowest homework scores will be dropped before computing your grade.. Homework counts 16/20 towards your final grade (the course 20%) with attendance making up the difference.
