Pointers for the Final Exam on Wednesday, 11
May 2005 from 1-3 PM in CE
223:
The final will be approximately twice the length of an ordinary exam,
and also worth twice as much toward your grade.
The final will definitely have:
- One problem from each of the 3 exams (maybe with the numbers changed).
- One applied maximum/minimum story problem
- One related rates problem
- Quite a few derivatives, many involving the chain rule, maybe
implicit differentiation, too.
- Either
- Proving a limit from the definition, or
- Computing a derivative from the definition.
- State completely and accurately two of the following:
- Epsilon-Delta definition of limit
- Definition of derivative
- Intermediate value Theorem
- Lagrange's Mean Value Theorem
- The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus
