In the second stage of the specialization sequence, the line rotates about the point until it contains the fixed point. The blue solution moves until it meets the fixed point and the magenta solution moves until it lies in the plane spanned by the red and green lines. This is by far the most interesting geometrically of all the frames in this sequence. The picture is linked to a longer animation. A lot happens in this step, This representes both possibilities (swap and stay) in the middle square of Table 2/Figure 8 in GLR. We display both below, and will continue to display both checker games for the rest of this sequence. |
